Bookings & Budget — Indonesia Nightlife FAQs

Practical answers to the questions travellers ask before a night out in Indonesia.

01

Do I need to book a daybed or cabana, and is beach-club entry free?

Entry, seating and food-and-drink credit are three separate things. La Brisa offers free entry with minimum spending on selected premium seats; FINNS uses paid bed bookings rather than a general minimum-spend requirement. Potato Head currently has a sunset cover charge from 4–6:30 pm, redeemable for selected drinks, while other times can be free outside special events. Reserve early if a particular seat matters. Before paying, check the arrival deadline, credit included, taxes, weather policy and cancellation terms. Walk-in entry never guarantees your preferred bed or poolside position.

02

How much should I budget for drinks and a beach-club day?

Build your budget from the venue's current menu and your seating choice. A beachfront table, several cocktails, meals and transport can make a premium beach-club day considerably more expensive than a casual bar visit. Prices marked ++ have service charges and government tax added; use the percentage on that menu rather than assuming one universal rate. As a reference, Sundays' June 2026 menu lists an additional 21%. Keep ticket or bed fees separate from redeemable credit, and check which purchases count towards that credit before comparing packages.

03

Is Savaya or a VIP table worth the money?

Choose by the artist, view and kind of evening you want. A ticket may be enough if you mainly want to dance; a table can make sense when your group values reserved seating and plans to spend on food or bottles. Ask for the total cost, capacity, sightline, included admission, redeemable credit and any arrival deadline in writing. Savaya's general-admission tickets are primarily standing tickets, with limited shared seating. Compare the full group cost per person, including transport, rather than treating every VIP package as equivalent.

04

Can I bring duty-free alcohol into Indonesia?

Indonesian Customs currently allows up to one litre of alcoholic drinks per arriving passenger aged 21 or over under the passenger excise allowance. The allowance applies to Indonesia, not just Bali. Check the official customs guidance before departure and declare your goods accurately; do not plan around reports of unchecked bags or assume extra bottles can simply be taxed on arrival. Duty-free shopping is optional, and airport prices are not always the cheapest. Outside alcohol also does not automatically become acceptable at a beach club, bar or hotel.
